AUgust’s topic is the Anacardiaceae (Cashew Family). BE CAREFUL this plant family is notorious for have poisonous sap (Poison Ivy, Poisonwood, Mango, etc.) which causes a severe rash, so be careful when bringing in specimens. Please bring them in a plastic bag and you may want latex/plastic gloves. Please bring in at least 3 plants, which needn’t necessarily cover the topic.

July’s topic is native Epiphytes (airplants). Epiphytes are plants which grow upon other plants, and generally excludes parasitic plants. Many members of the Bromeliad and Orchid families are epiphytes, and are protected, so please bring only cultivated material or material from your own property.
